Estate Planning
Estate planning is a term often casually kicked around.  However, estate plans should be the result of a collaborative process that involves thoughtful, comprehensive planning and results in documents that accurately reflect one's needs and wishes and which will survive the death of the individual.  Appropriate plans have lasting financial and emotional consequences to the people who matter most to the deceased.  Therefore, it is incumbent upon each individual to carefully consider all aspects and potential outcomes of his or her plan.  In addition to providing for the intended disposition of property upon death, a number of other considerations must be involved in estate planning.  Creating a legacy, the care of minor children, anticipated health and long term care needs, care of pets, organ donation, and funeral and burial arrangements are a few common concerns.  Each estate plan is different, just as our thoughts and wishes vary widely among all of us.  Camille's job is to partner with clients to craft a plan that meets not only their current wishes, but moreover, the long term needs of each client.

Probate and Trust Administration
Every estate is different and the administration of each trust or plan depends on myriad variables.  Administering a trust is a complicated process for someone unfamiliar with current law.  Once someone begins working as the trustee for a trust, he or she has a fiduciary duty to the Grantor and the beneficiaries named in the trust.  This duty to safeguard and distribute assets, carrying out the wishes of the Trust Grantor can be a tedious, time consuming, often frustrating job for someone who has not acted in such a capacity.   Camille's experience base is administering trust estates.  She is familiar with the intricacies of the probate world and works to see that each estate in her care is administered appropriately, with an eye on financial efficiency and timeliness.   Camille guides trustees who are unfamiliar with trust and estate matters to assist them in completing the Grantor's wishes.

Elder Law
Camille has acquired extensive experience developed over years of assisting older Americans with legal and financial services.  Elder law includes all aspects of planning for aging, illness, and incapacity and requires the knowledge and skills specific to the needs and issues impacting elder clients.  Financial and estate planning, health and long term care planning, and navigating the maze of public benefits are some of the more critical needs Camille faces working with Seniors.

LGBT
While estate planning is important for all responsible adults, it is particularly critical for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender populations.  While the federal government and Oklahoma now recognize marriage equality, there are still a number of legal issues for LGBT couples and individuals that require thoughtful planning.  Traditional estate planning documents often fall flat as they do not equip members of the LGBT community sufficiently to protect their rights, preserve their preferences and protect their chosen families.  An integrated and comprehensive advanced care plan incorporating clear written instructions with respect to gender identity, housing, caregiving, hospital visitation, funeral and burial arrangements, care of pets, organ donation, and coordination of both formal and informal caregivers will protect one's wishes, privacy and choices.  Camille has both broad knowledge and experience base in representing LGBT Oklahomans and has been a national advocate for over twenty-five years in the quest of recognition of equal rights.

Financial Planning

Camille has built an investment practice to assist clients with retirement planning and asset management. Her unique combination of legal expertise paired with her investment wisdom has provided clients with a comprehensive pool of information.  Camille has the knowledge and experience to effectively position resources, to effectively evaluate financial plans offered by others, and to make recommendations aimed at creating and maintaining wealth.

Marriage Officiant
Choosing the right wedding officiant is one of the most important decisions a couple makes.  Camille is licensed by the State of Oklahoma to perform solemnization of marriage.  Beyond officiating the actual marriage ceremony, Camille will guide the couple through the process beginning with the state's requirements for application for a marriage license to getting the signed license returned to the Court Clerk and recorded within the required timeframe.
